Railway Bridge over the Ness from the Black BridgeIn February 1989 a flooded River Ness washed away the old Victorian railway bridge. A train full of passengers had gone over the bridge about 40 minutes before it was washed away. The bridge has since been rebuilt and carries the line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh.
