Kessock Ferry - Rosehaugh

The last Kessock Ferry was the Rosehaugh, seen here at the North Kessock slipway. Notice the lack of housing on the hill behind her.

I am trying to trace a photograph of the last Kessock ferry crossing that appeared in the Press & Journal on 15/12/07 on p43 submitted by a J. C. Ednie of Inverness.

My Granda,Alec MacLeod was skipper when me and my brothers were boys, crossed that water many times! He used to take her away from the pier then let me have the wheel!! he took the wheel back at the other side tho! With the history of the crossing I feel it is sad that there is no boat sailing now. Even just in the summer months,I think the tourists would love it.
